Welcome to my first Substack….let’s figure this out together.
1. Why this, why now
You might be thinking: “Just what the world needs another guy typing on a keyboard to share his thoughts on religion”. I share your concerns. However, my goal is not to tell everyone what to think but to share my own questions, listen to your struggles, and collaboratively find information that helps us to move our “faith forward”.
2. What Kind of Community is this?
This is not a community for “either-or” thinkers. I have found that often truth is found in “both-and”. This is a place for people to come and investigate the gray margins that surround the intersections of faith, culture, politics, church, and daily life. This is a grace-filled space that is safe for people to doubt, change their mind, and struggle.
3. What to Expect
My intention is to offer two post per week. In 2024 I am hoping to link this in with a future podcasting project with my wife. Those will be weekly episodes. Topics will focus on current church/religious issues, deconstruction, and faith/spirituality.
